1. Introduction

KC Eatz (“KC Eatz,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is operated by KC Lifestyle Girl LLC. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you use the KC Eatz mobile application and related website (together, the “App” or “Service”). By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Policy.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

• Account information: your name, email address, and password when you register.
• Email verification: a one-time passcode (OTP) sent to your email to verify your account at signup.
• Payment information: subscription purchases made through the iOS application are processed through Apple’s In-App Purchase system, and subscription purchases made through the Android application are processed through Google Play Billing. KC Eatz does not directly receive or store your full payment card information.
• Communications: information you send us for support, feedback, or business inquiries.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Location data: with your permission, we use your device location to show nearby restaurants and estimate distance (“near me” discovery). You may deny or revoke this permission at any time in your device settings.
• Usage data: restaurants viewed, coupons revealed and redeemed, promotions viewed, and how you interact with the App.
• Device and technical data: device type, operating system, and general log data needed to operate and troubleshoot the App.
• Push notification tokens, if you opt in to notifications.

2.3 Information From Restaurant & Business Partners

Restaurants and sponsoring businesses provide us with information about their business (name, location, menu, offers, and promotional content) to display in the App. This is separate from, and does not include, your personal account information.

2.4 Categories of Service Providers

We use third-party service providers to operate the App, which may include providers of: cloud and database hosting; authentication; subscription and billing management; email communications; push notifications; analytics; and app infrastructure and security, as well as the Apple App Store and Google Play. The specific providers we use may change as the App evolves; where required, our Apple App Privacy and Google Play Data Safety disclosures will reflect the categories of data actually collected, processed, and shared by the current production version of the App.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• create and manage your account and membership subscription;
• verify your identity and secure your account (OTP verification, password reset);
• process subscription payments and manage billing;
• show you nearby restaurants, coupons, and promotions;
• track coupon redemptions, including the 10-minute redemption window;
• communicate with you about your account, subscription, and offers;
• provide restaurant and sponsor partners with aggregate, de-identified statistics (for example, total redemptions or promotion views);
• maintain, secure, and improve the App;
• comply with legal obligations.

4. Subscriber & Redemption Data Shared With Partners

Restaurant partners may see aggregate statistics about coupon activity for their listing (such as total redemptions) to help them evaluate the program. Business/sponsor partners may see aggregate analytics about their promotion (such as number of views). We do not currently provide restaurant or sponsor partners with your name, email address, or other directly identifying account information in connection with aggregate coupon or promotional analytics.

5. Payment Processing

Subscription purchases made through the iOS application are processed through Apple’s In-App Purchase system. Subscription purchases made through the Android application are processed through Google Play Billing. KC Eatz does not directly receive or store users’ full payment card information. Please also review Apple’s and Google’s own privacy policies for details on how each handles your payment information.

6. Location Services

Location access is optional and used only to show distance to restaurants and improve discovery. The App will continue to function if you deny or revoke location permission, though distance-based features will be unavailable.

7. Push Notifications

If you enable notifications, we may send you updates about new coupons, promotions, or your account and subscription status. You can opt out at any time in your device settings.

8. Age Restrictions & Age-Restricted Content

The Service may display advertisements or promotional content relating to age-restricted products or services, including alcoholic beverages and cannabis-related products or businesses, where permitted by applicable law and platform policies.

Users must meet applicable legal-age requirements to view or interact with age-restricted content. KC Eatz may use age-gating or other measures to restrict access to such content.

KC Eatz does not sell, distribute, deliver, or directly facilitate transactions involving alcohol, cannabis, or other age-restricted products. Age-restricted advertisements or promotions may be limited or unavailable based on age, location, applicable law, or platform requirements.

The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

9. Data Sharing & Disclosure

KC Eatz does not currently sell personal information as that term is defined under applicable privacy laws. We may share information with:

• Service providers who help us operate the App (see Section 2.4);
• Restaurant and business partners, limited to the aggregate/de-identified statistics described above;
• Legal and safety purposes — to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, or protect the rights, property, or safety of KC Eatz, our users, or others;
• Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

This Privacy Policy describes KC Eatz’s current data practices. If our practices change in the future and we decide to sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under applicable law, we will update this Privacy Policy before the new practice begins and will implement any notices, consent mechanisms, opt-out rights (including a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” mechanism, where required), or other consumer privacy controls required by applicable law. Any future sale or sharing of personal information will also comply with applicable Apple App Store and Google Play requirements. This section does not prevent KC Eatz from currently providing restaurant or advertising partners with aggregate or de-identified analytics, such as total coupon redemptions, promotion views, or other statistics that do not directly identify individual users.

10. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When a user requests account deletion, KC Eatz will delete or de-identify the personal information associated with the account, except where retention is reasonably necessary or permitted for legal compliance, fraud prevention, security, accounting, dispute resolution, or enforcement of our agreements.

11. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. Your Rights & Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, or to opt out of certain uses. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details in Section 16. You may also update your account information in the App and cancel your subscription at any time (see the Terms & Conditions for billing details).

12.1 Account Deletion

Users may request deletion of their KC Eatz account through the account settings within the App. Users may also request deletion through our website (kceatz.com), which provides instructions for submitting a deletion request by emailing adriana@kceatz.com.

When a user requests account deletion, KC Eatz will delete or de-identify personal information associated with the account except information we are required or permitted to retain for legal compliance, fraud prevention, security, accounting, dispute resolution, or enforcement of our agreements.

Account deletion and subscription cancellation are separate. Deleting a KC Eatz account does not necessarily cancel an active Apple App Store or Google Play subscription. Users must separately cancel active subscriptions through the applicable app store.

13. Children’s Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13, and no one under that age may create an account. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

14. Third-Party Links & Services

The App may contain links to third-party websites or services, including sponsor and promotion links. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. Review their policies before providing any information to them.

15. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, including as our App, business model, service providers, or data practices evolve. Any changes will be posted in the App or on our website with a new “Last Updated” date. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
